January 01, 2020 UCC Parliamentary Internship Program
The UCC Parliamentary Internship Program was re-established in 2017, thanks to the generous support of the Ukrainian National Federation of Canada, including intern training by the Paul Yuzyk Institute for Youth Leadership, and many individual donors.
We want to ensure that the Ukrainian Canadian community continues to play a significant role in shaping Canada’s political landscape and policies for decades to come.
This is a paid internship program from September 2018 to June 2019. Interns will work in Ottawa with Members of Parliament for 10 months on policy research, communications, legislative affairs and constituency work. They will learn firsthand about Canada’s Parliament and all aspects of the legislative and governmental process.
To be eligible for the program, you must be a recent post-secondary graduate or a final-year student graduating this spring or summer. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. Compensation is $20,000 for the 10-month program.

Carpathia Credit Union Scholarships reward all-around excellence and are awarded each year on the basis of high academic standing and noteworthy participation in extracurricular activities in and outside of school, our Ukrainian community, and the community-at-large. A total of $6,000 is awarded to successful applicants each year.
Must be a member of Carpathia Credit Union for at least two years prior to graduation.
Are currently attending high school and graduating in June 2017.
Must attend an approved post-secondary institution in the fall of 2017.

ALPHA OMEGA WOMEN’S ALUMNAE is an organization of university graduates of Ukrainian descent. This year we will be offering 2 bursaries of $1125.00 each to women (residents of Manitoba) of Ukrainian heritage who are entering full-time first year studies in a degree program at any accredited university.

In 1998, the Fellowship initiated a program to recognize and financially assist Ukrainian Orthodox youth in their academic endeavours. The purpose of the Bursary is to enrich educational opportunities for Ukrainian Orthodox students and is awarded annually to one or more candidates who have met the required criteria and have demonstrated a commitment to foster the faith of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The Fellowship of Sts. Cyril and Methodios is dedicated to the concepts of life-long learning and entrusts the preservation of these concepts to the recipients of the Bursary.

The Ukrainian Fraternal Society of Canada Scholarship Program continues to foster ties of kinship, support the Ukrainian Community, and promote Ukrainian heritage. Four Scholarship Awards in the amount of $ 1,000.00 each shall be available to UFSC members.
The UFSC applicant must be achieving academic excellence and pursuing post-secondary studies that will lead to a degree, certificate, or diploma. The Scholarship Awards are available to individuals who are insured by UFSC. At the time of application their policy must have been in effect for a period of not less than three (3) years and the account must be in good standing.

Stephen & Olga Kuzyk Education Bursary
The Stephen & Olga Kuzyk Education Bursary supports Ukrainian- Canadian students enrolled in a Canadian university as a Doctoral candidate in Education.
David A. Mysak Future Leaders Award
The David A. Mysak Future Leaders Award is a $1000 award for young individuals of Ukrainian descent who live in the province of Saskatchewan. The award is focused on the individual’s community leadership and volunteerism, and community connections.

The St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarship program is designed to assist students to achieve their academic, professional and community leadership goals. It also intends to help build a commitment to the growth and preservation of the Canadian Ukrainian and Orthodox heritage.
The scholarship program is open to post secondary school students who are members in good standing of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church within the Ukrainian Orthodox Eastern Eparchy of Canada. The theology scholarship is open to Ukrainian Orthodox Theology students across Canada.
