What's New @ CYMK.ca?

Happy Canada Day all!

Well, it’s sure been awhile since I’ve spoken to everyone in this space.  Much like what happened with Zaklyk as of late, the website has been neglected for far too long.

At the convention, we gained a new VP of Website so that I could retire from day-to-day site maintenance.  Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond the executive’s control, you’re stuck with me for another year plus!

You’ll notice that the site has the same old look to it… as much as the new design was eye-catching, it had a few issues and has been sent back to “bake” for a bit longer.  With any luck, we’ll see it make a triumphant return sometime between now and the next convention.

As to new content, the Main, Executive and eZaklyk pages have been updated.  More importantly though, there is some video from the 2007 National CYC Convention CYMK Concert!!!  You can find it by clicking the convention video link at the top-right of this page.

Well, that just about does it from me for now!  I’ll update the site as much as possible in the near future and still get more videos online as I can find and convert them.

Hi All!

Wow, did that convention fly by way too quickly, or what?!

Anyways, for those who weren’t at the convention, a new executive has been chosen. While the core of the group is still in the East (led by Myron Jurychuk) there are VPs scattered throughout each region. This is truly a blessing not only in terms of sharing the workload but it also takes national-regional communication to a WHOLE new level! More will be posted about your 2007-2009 National CYMK Executive after they have their first official meeting (in the very near future)!

So, on to the updates: Today I’ve posted the Yearbook Edition of eZaklyk for those who didn’t receive it at the convention. Enjoy it; it’s the biggest issue of eZaklyk ever – weighing in at 20 pages! Also, I’ve posted the NEW and/or IMPROVED 2007 CYMK General By-laws… check the link on the main page or in the “About CYMK” section of the menu to get your very own copy! Finally, you’ve probably noticed that we have an all-new countdown timer counting the days until the 2009 CYC Convention. Sure it’s a BIT forward-looking… but it’s never too early to start planning! It’s so forward-looking in fact… we’re just guessing on the date. At this point, we’re assuming the second Wednesday in August, but this is a wild guess at best… so don’t hold us to it!

Well, that’s about it from me… now, I don’t know about you – but I’m STILL recovering from the excitement that was the convention! Time to relax!
